Frequently asked questions
What topics does the State Portion cover?
The State Portion tests Texas-specific real estate law and practice: contracts and agreements, agency relationships and brokerage, TREC rules and standards of conduct, property disclosure, closing and settlement, real estate finance, landlord-tenant law, and real property ownership under Texas law.
What topics does the National Portion cover?
The National (Uniform) portion tests real estate principles and practice shared across states: property ownership, agency, contracts, financing, and federal law such as Fair Housing.
Are these real TREC exam questions?
No. Every question is independently written by Texas RE PREP™ in the style and difficulty of the actual exam. We do not reproduce official exam items and are not affiliated with TREC or Pearson VUE.
Does every question come with an explanation?
Yes. Every question includes a worked explanation of the correct answer and why the tempting wrong choices are wrong, not just a right/wrong marker.
Is there a free sample before I buy?
Yes — free sample questions with full explanations, no signup required. Try it before you pay.
Do I need both portions?
Only if you haven't covered the National portion elsewhere yet. If your pre-licensing course already handled it, the State Portion alone is enough to close the gap. If not, Full access covers both in one product.
